About the owner.Each person’s voice is precious and unique. When speaking or singing becomes challenging, communication may be ineffective or painful. Ami Bouterse (she/her), owner of About Voice, provides therapy services to rehabilitate, affirm, and enhance communication. She is a compassionate clinician with experience working with voice, speech sound production, language, and fluency challenges. With her extensive experience in voice performance and pedagogy, she also serves as a singing-voice specialist within her role as a speech-language pathologist.
Ami holds a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Emerson College and voice performance degrees from Carnegie Mellon University (M.M.) and the University of Wisconsin - Madison (B.M.). She also earned a Library and Information Science Certification from UW-Madison. In her free time, Ami enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and two dogs, as well as playing games and watching movies. |
