About Books Workshops
Ami (“Ms. B.”) Bouterse is a speech-language pathologist and voice professor who loves helping others find their voice through language, music, and storytelling. A lifelong book lover, she is thrilled to partner with independent bookstores to offer engaging workshops for children and adults.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS:
Bear's New Friend:
Dive into a book using music and more! Children (K-2) explore Bear's New Friend by Karma Wilson over four weeks while building vocabulary, storytelling skills, and expressive language through interactive activities. Parents will learn ways to strengthen pre-reading skills at home. Enrollment is limited with a minimum number of enrollments required. Cost for workshop includes the book. Finding Your Voice:
Inspired by Finding Your Voice by Carolyn Sloan, this group class explores singing, identity, and expression through conversation, journaling, and gentle vocal exercises. Open to adults, both singers and non-singers alike. No prior singing experience required. Enrollment is limited with a minimum number of enrollments required. Cost for workshop includes the book. Fee: $220
